AERIAL PHOTOS OF THE GORDON SCHOOLS

1953: Aerial photographs of the school and surroundings
These photographs were commissioned by Rector the late Dr Trapp at some time during the early 1950s. They were recently passed by Mrs Trapp to local historian Patrick Scott, and it is with his permission that they are reproduced here. A very enlarged section of photo #5 showing the Simpson Building still hangs in the school foyer; the same detail was also used on the front cover of 'The Tower and the Linden Tree', as the school magazine was formerly known, for a number of years.

The full-size versions of these photos are all slightly less than 800x600 pixels and have a file size of around 110K or less.

Compare these pictures with the one below taken in 1980.
